Enrolling at Ashburton Primary School

To begin the enrolment process at Ashburton Primary School please complete the attached enrolment form. You will need to attach your childs Birth Certificate and Immunisation Certificate in order for us to process your enrolment. View the Boundary Map attached for more information regarding our Zones. Please either scan and email the completed form to Ashburton.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au or send via post to Ashburton Primary School, Fakenham Rd, Ashburton 3147.

Thank you to those families that attended our Open Day on June 1st. 

If you are starting Foundation in 2020 we will be accepting enrolments from April 23rd.

For all other enrolments please call the school on 9885-2559 and speak to the Enrolment Officer.

It is important to note that Ashburton Primary School is zoned and the zone is available from findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Find my school hosts the most up-to-date zones and information for Victorian Government Schools. 

Students residing in this zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

The Department provides guidance through the School Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and the freedom to choose other schools, subject to facility limitations.

Welcome to Ashburton Primary School. The following events have been organised to assist you to understand more about Ashburton Primary School.

Saturday Open Day
Thank you to all families who attended our Open Day in June.

 Tours
Thank you to all families who attended our scheduled tours in May and June. If you would like a school tour, please contact the office. 

Enrolments
Enrolments will be accepted from April 23. A letter confirming your child’s placement has now been sent (August 2019) and you may begin to book your child in for Transition sessions. If you have not received a letter, and submitted an enrolment form, please contact the office. 

 

Our school zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au. Findmyschool.vic.gov.au hosts the most up-to-date information about Victorian school zones for 2020 onwards.

Prep 2020 Transition Program | For enrolled students only

We aim for a smooth and relaxed transition for both parents and children by providing many opportunities for school familiarisation.

Please note these sessions are for enrolled students only. If you would like to enrol your child – and permanently reside within the school zone – please follow the steps above. 

Transition Day 1: Friday November 1st OR Friday November 8th

9.15am to 10.15am 

Students will complete an activitiy in a Foundation Classroom

Transition Day 2: Friday November 15th

9.15am to 10.15am 

Transition Day 3: Friday November 22nd

Students will complete an activitiy in a Foundation Classroom

9.15am to 10.15am

Children will go to one Specialist class. Mrs Margaret Staley – our Principal – will run a Parent Information session during this time. 

Transition Day 4: Tuesday December 10th

9.15am to 10.30am

Children will be with their 2020 teacher and classmates and may wear school uniforms. It is vitally important that all children attend this session.
